Dedication | Prologue

Dedication:

To those who laugh louder than the silences inside them.

To those who are searching for their healers.

To those who wish to get another chance in their lives– to correct the wrong.

And to those who believe that this will pass too– from the dark to the light and from fall to the spring.

Prologue

The decisions we make in our lives come with consequences, proving the law of Cause and Effect.

Sometimes, those consequences come early to teach us how wise or reckless our decision was. Did we achieve something or the price we paid for our choices was greater than the gain? These are the decisions which help us move further in life while we contemplate our choices and improve our lives early.

But there are other times when it is too late to realize that the decisions we made years ago were nothing but a reflection of our hollow arrogance and our fragile attempts to feel independent.

And when the time for the latter comes, we fall apart, breaking mercilessly until the only truth of our existence becomes the absolute lie and the worst nightmare.

And that year, the season of fall arrived like the time of late realization when the little bubble of the fairytale ended for Payal and Vansh, making them ponder over the decisions they'd made in their lives.

Her perfect life ended with tears and regrets while his ended with shattered hopes and broken promises.

The man she thought was her life– for whom she fought against her family– deceived her, broke her, loathed her until she made another decision. The decision to leave him and to correct the choices she made in her life that brought her to this season of hopelessness and full of regret.

While Vansh found himself in the quicksand of sweet but fake promises in which he felt himself drown until the depth of his ruin. The promises made by the one person whom he loved– or he thought, he did. And when that same person burst his bubble of faith and trust, he found himself hating the 'Love' itself.

But the beauty of nature is to bring light after darkness and spring after the fall. While the darkness brings the vices of our human mind, the light brings back the softness of our hearts. If something breaks in the fall, the spring heals it back like the flowers or the plants.

In the same way, the hearts withered in the fall will bloom with love once again... when the spring commences.

"I hate you!" She snapped.

"Then hate me while sitting next to me." He replied.

"I will kill you." She glared at him.

"If you keep talking to me looking into my eyes like this, I'll be dead- just like that." He replied.

"If there are hundred people who love you, I'm one of them. If there are only ten such people, I'm one of them. If there is only one person in the world who loves you, that person is me...." He said.

"And if nobody loves me?" She asked.

"That means I'm no more in this world." He replied.
