Tarani was the queen of Raigarh– a kingdom built on the ruins of her relatives. After the king and queen– her parents– died, she ruled the kingdom with grace and undeniable power. She was a strategist, a learned woman, a ruler who had killed to save, who had ruled to survive and to serve.
As much as people of Raigarh respected her, they feared her as well. The fear was not born out of cruelty, it was the result of her triumph over the wrong. Justice was the cornerstone of her rule.
